Physical therapy is staffed by two physical therapists, one licensed physical therapist assistant (LPTA) and two technicians to meet your health needs.
Physical therapy provides the following services at Naval Health Clinic Patuxent River:
- Evaluate, treat, and educate musculoskeletal disorders
- Assist patients with their rehabilitation and post-surgical physical therapy needs
Direct Access for Active Duty
Active Duty: If you have a new musculoskeletal injury -- an injury to a muscle or joint in your shoulder, hip, knee, leg, ankle, foot, neck or lower back -- with acute pain that's been present for 14 days or less, you can come directly to Physical Therapy to be treated. Simply report to Physical Therapy located inside The Drill Hall at 47382 Keane Road, Building 458. No referral needed.
Patients who are not eligible for Direct Access will be seen on a referral basis only. If an appointment needs to be cancelled, please call at least one hour prior to the appointment time. Patients MUST bring their consultation form with them to their visit. Please wear comfortable clothing.
