ALERT: We are reminding our beneficiaries about an increase in phishing scams targeting healthcare patients. These scams attempt to trick individuals into revealing personal information such as social security numbers, medical history, or other personal details. NHCPR staff will not ask for your social security number or other personal information over the phone. Staff will identify themselves and then confirm your full name and date of birth. If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from the clinic, hang up and report it to the Quarterdeck at (301) 342-1419. Stay vigilant and protect your information.

Get all your contraceptive care in one place.

All beneficiaries are eligible for care and counseling at walk-in contraceptive clinics where education, safe sexual practices, contraceptives, and STI prevention education are provided.

NHC Patuxent River Walk-in Contraceptive Clinic is open every Friday morning, 9:00 AM-11:00 AM.

How It Works

On Fridays, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, visit NHC Patuxent River clinic for all of your contraceptive needs. Contraceptive needs are a walk-in, first come/first serve basis, with priority to active-duty personnel. You will be asked to fill out a contraception-specific form and be provided a lab ticket for a urine pregnancy test (if applicable). Please come with a full bladder. You will be taken to an exam room to discuss your needs. We can insert/remove birth control and prescribe medications on the same day.
