When will COVID-19 vaccine be available for other groups or ages?
NHCPR will announce publicly when new groups are eligible for vaccinations when that information is available.
At this time we do not have a known time for moving into further phases – much of this will depend on how much vaccine supply gets allotted to our clinic every week. This information usually becomes known to NHCPR a few days before the vaccine supply
Vaccine Appointments & Registering
How are appointments being scheduled? Do I need an appointment to get the vaccine?
Appointments are being scheduled by the Immunizations team, strictly based on the DOD prioritization schema/tiers. Fleet forces units will be assigned blocks of times, based on priority, to receive the vaccine. Eligible beneficiaries will be contacte
Registration will soon be moving to an electronic scheduling system. (Estimated mid-February 2021)
Registration is required to attend a vaccine clinic – No one should present to a vaccine clinic without registering.
When presenting to the vaccine clinic, you should have your DOD ID and/or your personal ID to confirm eligibility.
How can I get help registering if I don’t have access to or am not comfortable using a computer, once NHCPR moves to an electronic scheduling platform?
Members who need assistance with electronic appointment registration and are currently eligible to receive a vaccine may call the NHCPR Immunizations department at (301) 757-2142 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 12:00p.m., 1:00p.
What about my second dose?

Information to Prepare You for Your Vaccine

Please bring identification.
If you are coming back for your second dose, please remember to bring your CDC COVID-19 vaccination card that you were given after receiving your first dose.
If able, please bring the completed Immunization Screening form with you to your appointment, this will help decrease overall wait times for patients.
I have concerns about COVID-19 vaccine allergies. What should I do?
The local county health department has great information regarding COVID-19 vaccines and allergies. Review the information posted online at: www.smchd.org/covid-19-vaccine-allergy
Discuss your concerns and personal situation with your primary care provider or allergy specialist/immunologist.
If you have had an immediate or severe allergic reaction (e.g., hives, trouble breathing, anaphylaxis, angioedema) to the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, any component of the COVID-19 vaccine, or polysorbate you should NOT receive the Moderna or Pfiz
